Solution

The WISH Model puts the woman at the center of her healthcare. Our model disrupts the status quo by empowering women to lead the revolution against cervical cancer through new technologies, community-based healthcare, and peer-to-peer empowerment.

1. Women-Inspired Technology

There is a discrepancy between the localization of lifesaving medical care and the location of at-risk women. WISH employs first-of-their-kind technologies designed for at-home use (HPV self-sampling & Callascope) and clinical-based care (Pocket Colposcope, diagnostic software, & thermocoagulator).

2. Community Workforce Training

Current care options for cervical cancer require expertise and training to implement. WISH mitigates this by teaching women to begin the screening process themselves as well as training midwives and nurses to identify and treat disease before it advances to cancer.

3. Peer-to-Peer Learning

Many women are afraid or embarrassed to be screened for illnesses such as HPV. Additionally, many women are unaware of the importance of early screening, identification of disease, and treatment. We facilitate woman-to-woman storytelling to break down this shame and stigma associated with sexual and reproductive health.
